Members of the CHR Task Force assist Hinsdale County with flood preparation

In the Spring of 2019, members of the CHR Task Force, with the assistance and support of the National Heritage Responders (AIC/FAIC) responded to a call from Lake City, Colorado to the Colorado State Department of Homeland Security and Emergency Management for expertise to assist in evacuating museum and archival materials from impending flooding. With coordination from History Colorado, the Museum and Courthouse had valuable historical materials evacuated from the impending flood threat. Materials were evacuated out of the city to climate controlled locations and more robust materials, to storage containers out of harms way.
